What are you grateful for?

Big big hug and many blessings,

Why is it happening for me vs. to me?

Why is this happening for me

Have you ever wondered “why is this happening to me?”? I thought so, hahah, been there ;-) how about this new perspective…?

“Why is this happening FOR me?”

I love it, it just creates a whole new world of opportunities and space for new things… what if was all a dive plan made specially for you to help you wake up and start doing new things? What if it was exactly what you needed to get where you want to go?

Are you ready? Embrace whatever that is stopping you and making you feel bad, sad, anxious, you name it! Thank it for having protected you untill now and let it go… Its time to see the challenge as a gift and move on to make it happen. Trust me, it’s all about trust and being grateful, you are ready, go for it and embrace the change it’s about to happen!

Big big hug and much love,

You can run away, but your fears will come along if you don’t face them…

City, job, friends… You can make any major change in your life, but if you do it expecting to become happier just like that instead looking for the reason why you need those changes,  I’m afraid you will still have to confront the issues some time int he future…

I had it for a long time with the destinations I was living in. When things would start to become harder for whatever reason or they would not look the way I would like to, I would come up with a new plan to flee…

I am not saying that we should never make changes in our lives, of course we have to in order to develop and go after what we want. However we tend to think that the grass is greener at the other side… If we would just stop. think and look inside of us to see what’s going on we would save a lot energy trying to change the “wrong thing”.

I have recently felt fear. But for once I decided not to run away. I am not only staying in the same city this time but I am also chasing my dream and working hard to get it! I am not going to hide or hold back any more, because I am worth it, as simple as that!

Thank you Marina for helping me realise how much I have to offer and how important it is to face our fears, with support everything is possible! I am very grateful for all the new people in my life that are supporting me, I could not be happier that they all appeared at the right moment! :) Let’s do it, let’s shine all together! :-)

What is it what you are avoiding doing? What are you afraid of? I feel now safe, and it feels great!

Big hug and much love,

If I can do it, you can do it… ;-) Just dare to try!

2013-10-20 13.18.48Today I have accomplished one of my biggest challenges and goals before I turn 30, I have run a 5km race! :) Yesssssssss! For some people it might not mean much, but for me it means EVERyTHiNG!

I admit it, I never liked running, and although I had tried to start several times in the last 6 years, I never managed to run more than 20′ without stopping… Today, for the first time in my life and after 42min I achieved one of my dreams!

Although I knew I was ready for the challenge, I freaked out when we were about to start… I started to stare at all the participants, they all looked soooo professional… :( Fortunately my friend, flatmate and run-buddy Tim was there to remind that I should not compare myself to others. What a big true! :)

I panicked for a second…: “what if I am the last one?” Well, someone has to be, right… ?

3, 2, 1, GO! We start running and everybody passes my by… There is just one thing that crosses my mind: “You are going to do this, you can do this… don’t think of the others, you can go slow, it’s fine, but you are going to make it! Everyone has its own rhythm, just make sure you can follow yours so that you don’t have to stop or go walking. Keep your head up, breath and keep running, you are AwEsOmE!“.

When I realised I had run my first 20′ I was already alone, hehe. Even the 80 years old man had passed me… I felt the energy to keep on running, I felt powerful, but I suddenly began to cry… At that moment I was going to make it, like everything else in my life I could dream about… I was there, thanks to my inner force and the support of many people. At that very moment it was not about the race anymore, it was about my whole life and all the challenges I have faced and that are on my way! It was not about me anymore, it was about everyone’s dreams! If I could do it, everyone could do it! Everything is possible, you just have to train, trust and dare to try it! :)

2013-10-20 13.19.51

When I finished I waited for Tim, who went for the 10k. He did amazingly great, he crossed the end of race just 6′ after me!! :) He could not believe it, we were both supper happy of our performances! :) Congrats Tim, and thank you VERY, VERY MUCH! You know I will never ever forget you, “we wrote history… :P”

Now, we will keep on training and go for the next step, but if I could do this, I have no doubt that in december I will be able to run my first 10k! I will tell you more about it then!

Which has been your biggest challenge so far?

Big, big hug and much ♥,

P.D. I did finish the last one from the 5k, but you know what? I am very happy and super proud of myself that I dared to try and I made it! :D

Do you want to smile? This will make you happy… ;-)

Good morning everyone!

Today I have a quite impersonal but deep message: watch this video and tell me what you think about it!

My friend, housemate & run-buddy Tim posted very recently on my FB. I had already seen it before, but as al things in life it came at the perfect moment to remind me how good I am doing and how beautiful life is! :) So, dont stay there staring, star doing something!

Live, love, laugh… be happy and watch the video again! ;-)

Btw, Tim, thanks again for being there, you are AWESOME! ;-)

Before I turn 30…

October is here! OMG!! Time flies!! What about all the plans and things on my wish list for 2013? Did I do them? Well… hehe… not all of them… ;) However I do have to say that many other unexpected and cool things happened in the meantime.

“Life is what happens when you are making other plans… “

Since my birthday is in March and I will turn 30 (OMG, time REALLY flies! hahaha) I thought it would be nice to revise those goals for 2013 and include a few more giving me some extra time to accomplish them (both personal and professional)… There we go!!

  • Make my business my main source of income
  • Give at least one talk/lecture/workshop a month (give at least one in Dutch!)
  • Get more that 200 likes in both my FB fan pages (Sara.es on the GO and CaNdiReCeTaS)
  • More than 100.000 visits in my recipes blog http://www.CaNdiReCeTaS.blogspot.com
  • At least 50 followers in this blog
  • Find a working partner for new local and healthy projects
  • Give a new look to my website, more personal, more me… ♥
  • Travel to a place where I have never been before in Belgium
  • Visit some friends in Germany & Switzerland (Alisa, Laura and Sandra are a must!)
  • Take some days off in the mountains for myself and go hiking with my backpack
  • Plan my holidays for 2014 and save at least one week for a retreat :)
  • Chose beter who do I want to spend my time with
  • Go to the sea
  • Finish my 20 classes yoga pass
  • Participate in a padel competition
  • Run a 10k
  • Go home for Christmas
  • Read one interesting book a month
  • Get rid of things I don’t need anymore: old skies, iPad, some clothes, mental dust…
  • Get a SlowJuicer and a new second hand bike :)
  • Do a 5 days detox! I am very excited about this one, I will keep you posted about how it goes… ;-)
  • Focus on my breathing and live more in the present moment (that’s a good one!)
  • Keep al my already good habits: lemon juice in the morning, meditating, green smoothies, eating 70% raw, at least 1600 minutes exercise a week, keep in touch with old friends and family quite often, be happy, make other people happy (love that one), put passion on everything I do (specially when working -and selling fries-), let things go, go with the flow, be open, stay positive (everything happens for a reason, right?), trust, believe in me… Hehe, seems that I am already doing a great job here… :P

Well, I think that’s more than enough, lets let some room for the unexpected and wish me luck! ;-)

Btw, I am already planning a big party for my 30th b-day to celebrate all my achievements with the people I love! :) I’m veeeeeery excited about it!!! :))))))

What are your goals?? Share them with me, they become closer once you have the intention and write it down… ;-)

Big big hug!!

As soon as you understand that, your inner peace and relationships with everyone become much much easier… :) Every now and then it is hard to accept it, but some people are in our lives for a short period of time… Whether we like it or not, whether it is for the good or for the bad…

People come into your life for a season, a reason or a lifetime

Sometimes they just come to teach us something about life or about ourselves, which can turn to be a very positive or revealing experience if we are awake enough to see it. However it can also be perceived as a not that positive experience if at that precise moment we miss the purpose.

Not because we want someone to stay forever they will, the same way not because we want someone to disappear tomorrow they will. The key? As for me, accepting the situation whatever it is and being thankful to them for being in our lives and teach us what we need to learn at that moment… :)

Therefore I am very grateful to all the people who came and/or still are in my life that I don’t understand very well… (Let’s say it in a nice way, hehe) (Btw, I send them lots of love, because that’s something they are certainly missing!  ♥). On the other hand I am even more grateful to all the people I have encountered in my life that have given me the motivation I was missing, the support I needed and all love they had!  I could not be happier for having shared at least a second with you all!

Right now I would love to give a few nice words to those friends who the last weeks have been there for sure for a reason, at least this season and who knows if for a lifetime: Laura, An-Sofie, Sandra, Sara, henar, Camilla, Tim & Jeroen, THANKS A LOT, you are simply AMAZING! Love you guys!!

People come into your life for a season, a reason or a lifetime…

My mission: making other people’s life easier and happier… :)

2013-09-14 16.38.45Recently, after asking myself many questions about my life in general I discover what my mission was: making other people’s life easier and happier… :) Isn’t it beautiful?? I love it… hehehe

If that is what I came here for, another question comes to my mind now… HOW am I going to do that?!?!?  Well, doing what I best know how to do and have self-experience: giving alternatives to people with special diets and/or a busy life for a healthier and happier living. Can you see the picture? I am on my way to work as happy as someone can be when she is doing her purpose in life, yeahhhhhhhh! :)

Because I learned how to enjoy the trip instead of getting obsessed with the destination, I can help you doing the same! Doesn’t it sound good? What is it this thing that you struggle the most with? Having time for you? Healthy cooking? Exercising? Finding your balance? Follow a plan? Is there anything specific you would like me to help you with or know more about ? Any tips you are missing? How can I serve you?

Stay tuned and do not hesitate to contact me for a personal program! The following weeks are coming full of new recipes to keep on going and eat well on the go!

Btw, don’t forget to find me on FB or share the info with your friends and family!

Thanks a lot and have a great day!

Much love,

Sara.es On the GO!

New “ME”… Celebrating change!

Yes, as you might have already noticed September is the month where everything re-starts… School, work (for many of us), projects, and why not challenges? Let’s take it as a second change for a new begin! :)

This is me, well, my new me! The difference? My awareness… I feel much more connected to my body, isn’t it great? I think so… :) This summer I had the chance to go back home, disconnect from everything, spend some time with my friends from high-school & attend a lovely wedding with some of them, spend a lot of time with my family and follow an intense raw cooking course that has completely changed my life! It is said that we are who we are, that we don’t change; it is also said that if you don’t like something you can change it. I say “We can’t change our essence, we simply  grow and evolve…” (at least that is how I like to see it…)

All this to say thank you for being there and grow together for a healthier & better world where love always wins and we always get what we want! Follow your dreams, do not give up and stay tuned, you already have all the answers inside of you! ;-) Follow your inner voice!!

Btw, in the picture I am @ Fres Co (www.frescco.com) in one of their restaurants in Madrid. They offer their buffet all over Spain and you can choose from a large variety of salads (among other things).  The best? it is raw, vegan, sugar and gluten-free for les than 12€! I is not organic, but a great option for dinning out!

I will be back soon with more meals on the GO!

Big hug and much love,

Are you loving yourself up??

I know I do my best to treat others the way I want them to treat me, but, am I treating myself how I would like to be treated?? Good question, right… hahaha Well, the answer is not always… :( -shame on me!-

We are not used to think of ourselves, love us or give us what we really deserve: beautiful words, good food, nice company, ME-time, relax…

So, what’s your plan to love yourself up? I’m giving me the best food I can, I want my body to be happy and be able to follow me till the end of the day!

What about you?

Big hug and lost of love,
